If you are unable to access the email address originally associated with your Delicious account, we recommend creating a new account.
To create a Delicious account, visit del.icio.us and click Sign Up. From there, you can create a new account from scratch using your email or you can choose to sign up using your Facebook, Google Plus, or Twitter accounts.
When you sign up with Facebook or Twitter, we will import your name, username, and email address, meaning you won't have to fill them out in the next step. We will also automatically import the links you share on the service and let you find and follow your friends.
By default, links imported from Facebook or Twitter are set to public. You can change your default setting or disconnect from connected accounts in your account settings.
For the best experience on Delicious, we recommend you use the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, or Safari.
We officially support Mobile Safari on iOS, Google Chrome for iOS, Google Chrome for Android and Firefox for Android. We are working hard to add support for more mobile browsers.
The easiest way to add links to Delicious is with the Delicious bookmarklet, a simple button for your browser that you can use while viewing any page, image, video, or document on the web. You can also select 'Add Bookmark' from the top menu of any page to open an add bookmark box and directly enter a URL. Finally, you can click 'Save Bookmark' on any link you see on Delicious.
When saving a bookmark, you are encouraged to include a comment and tags to better categorize and contextualize why you're adding the page to your collection. Tags can be one word or many, with commas used between each tag to designate where tags begin and end. If a link has already been saved, click 'Edit' (next to it) to add additional tags or update your comments. Tags and comments can be edited, renamed, or deleted at any time.
Once you've added a bookmark, you can always go back to rename the title, add or edit your tags and comments, change its privacy setting, or delete it. Click 'My Links' to access your collection of bookmarks, then edit or delete individual bookmarks by clicking 'Edit Bookmark' or 'Delete Bookmark' for each item. You can also bulk edit multiple items by checking the items you wish to edit, and then selecting the appropriate action at the top of the list.
You do. As per our Terms and Conditions, everything you add to Delicious and all of your data on Delicious is always owned by you, not by us. However you are giving us certain rights to use things you add to Delicious as part of our operation of the service and we are giving you the right to use Delicious.
Yes, you can. You can bulk edit multiple items by checking the items you wish to edit, and then selecting the appropriate action at the top of the list.
Select the items you wish to edit (by checking each item's checkbox), and then select 'Make Public' or 'Make Private' at the top of the list.
We no longer fetch or store images for bookmarks.
Currently we don't support this feature. Our apologies!
We no longer actively support the browser extensions (we go into more detail on our blog). We recommend installing our bookmarklet to add links easily as you surf the web.
Tags are short, handy keywords that help you categorize and easily find your Delicious links again.
Tags can be deleted individually from a bookmark by editing each by clicking on 'Edit Bookmark' next to each link, or by selecting multiple items and clicking on 'Rename Tag' or 'Remove Tags' on the top menu.
A tag bundle is a collection of tags, usually used to group similar tags together. To create one, click on the pen icon next to 'Tag Bundles' and select 'Create a New Bundle.' You will be prompted to name your bundle, and to add the tags you want in the bundle.
Click on the pen icon next to 'Tag Bundles' and then click 'Edit' for the bundle you want to edit.
Search is the best way to find your links and discover new content across the site. The Delicious search bar is located in the top menu.
Yes you can! Use @username to search for a specific user, #tagname to search for a specific tag, or enter a URL to go directly to that link's details. Type [?] on any page to see more tips on how to search.
The search field also lets you search your own tags. Search a tag by typing a pound symbol (#) and then the tag, for example, #design or #recipes. If you put your username in front of it with an '@' sign, you can search your own tags.
Following allows you to see new links posted on Delicious by other users you like. Click on the 'My Feed' tab to keep track of the users you decide to follow.
When you come across a user collecting great content, you can keep track of their activity and see their saves in your search results by adding them to your Network. From a user's profile page, simply click the 'Follow' button at the top to add them to your network. You can also find your friends and follow them by connecting to Facebook and Twitter.
The 'Inbox' link in the top navigation bar is where you receive shared links sent directly to you by other Delicious users. All inbox messages are private and not visible to other users.
Your 'Feed' is where you can see the latest bookmarks from users you follow and tags to which you subscribe.
When a link is marked private on Delicious, your account will be the only one who can view it. Any tags exclusively associated with private links will also only be visible to you.
Links added on Delicious are public by default, but you can also choose to make them private when you save them. The privacy setting on links can be edited at anytime by clicking 'Edit' for each individual link (or by selecting multiple links), then selecting on either 'Public' or 'Private' on the edit screen.
Unfortunately, you cannot currently block users from following you on Delicious. Being followed does not expose any information that has not already been made public and doesn't add anything to your account that you don't want to see. If you don't want your links to be seen, you can make them private at any time.
Log in and head to your 'Settings' page, found by mousing over the "Profile" button on the top right. There you'll find options to both import and export your links or browser bookmarks.
If you have links bookmarked in your browser(s), it's easy to import them into Delicious. Usually in the Manage Bookmarks section of your browser, there will be an option to export your bookmarks. Once you've exported your browser bookmarks, head to your Delicious Settings page, click the 'import/upload links' link, select the file with the exported bookmarks, and click import. Depending on the system load and the number of bookmarks being imported, this process can take some time. You will be emailed when the import is complete.
Large imports can take some time to complete, sometimes as long as a day. If you have received an 'import completed' email and you are still not seeing your links, contact us via the feedback email and we'll look into the problem.
Under the Social tab of your Settings page you'll find options and instructions for connecting your Delicious account with your profiles on Twitter and Facebook. If you have a lot of tweets or posts containing links, it may take awhile for them to get imported into your account, so please be patient.
Tweets are not imported in real time. Depending on circumstances, it can be as little as five minutes or as much as 24 hours before they appear on Delicious. Favorited tweets' links will retain the date they were originally published. Twitter hash tags will be converted to unique tags on Delicious.
From your Settings page you can instantly update almost any detail from your account - including your profile image, display name, bio, personal website, email address, password, notification settings, and connections with external services such as Facebook and Twitter.
Click over to your Settings page and you'll find a 'Password' tab where you can create a new password for your account.
Unfortunately, once you've set your username, you can't change it. If you want, you can use the export and import features in your settings to move your links to a new account that you create.
From the 'Picture' tab on your Settings page, you can upload any gif, jpeg, or bmp less than 5 mb by selecting it from your computer and uploading it. Once it's processed, you'll be able to choose the crop you want to get the best avatar. Click 'submit crop', and a few seconds later you'll have a new profile picture.
The new owners of Delicious were legally required to obtain permission from Yahoo! users before migrating their bookmarks to the new site. Despite best efforts to inform everyone over months of emails, prompts at every Delicious log-in, posts and press, some users did not learn about it in time, so their accounts could not be migrated.
Unfortunately, if you missed the opt-in to migrate your account from Yahoo!, all that data stayed on Yahoo! servers. After extending the amount of time users could recover their data by more than a month after migration, the servers have since been decomissioned and the data is no longer available.
If you used to log in with your Yahoo! account and you opted-in to the migration, you chose a unique Delicious username that you now need to use. Can't remember your new username? Try your yahoo ID name (without the @yahoo.com) first, and if that doesn't work try searching for links you saved on Delicious to find any associated user comments.
They're all located on the Tools page.

Email us at support@del.icio.us and we'll help you recover your username.
Select the Forgot Password option from the login screen to have a password reset email sent to you.
To deactivate your account, head to your Settings page and click 'Deactivate my account.'
We unfortunately can't support logging in through email because multiple accounts can be attached to a single email address. If you've forgotten your username, send your email address to support@del.icio.us and we will look it up for you.
Head to your Settings page and click on the 'Notifications' tab to choose and change your email alert preferences. You can receive emails when you have a new follower, a stack of yours has a new follower, when a link or stack is shared to your inbox, when you're featured, or when there's an update to a stack you follow. Not getting notifications? Make sure your email is correct in your Settings 'Profile' tab.
Our official Delicious apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android can be downloaded from the App Store and Play Store and include many of the same features as the main website. The bookmarklet for iOS can also be installed from our Tools page.
Yes you can. Just open up the browser on your phone, and head to del.icio.us. You'll be able to sign in, search, browse and edit your links, and add new links, follow and unfollow people, and more.
First, try refreshing the page and check that you have the correct URL. If that doesn't solve the problem, we may be experiencing some issues on our end. We'll be working hard to fix them, but feel free to reach out to us via email at support@del.icio.us to let us know you're having problems with the site.
