Great paper, useless app

I love the Sat Paper, but this app is more or less unusable offline, as described by all the other reviews. Since iOS12 it seems to crash constantly, even when online. Was never a great experience in any case - essentially a PDF reader. Is weird that Schwartz haven’t bothered to fix what are simple technical glitches after so much feedback and so much time. In my opinion, if you are not prepared to invest in this app it would be better to just remove it from the App Store. I imagine it is harming your brand - surely you would do better to just promote an accessible PDF download for offline digital access. Pretty sure this is the only App Store review I have ever been motivated to write.

Viewing offline not working

This app let’s you save editions to your device, however the app fails to load, or takes several minutes to load, a locally stored edition if you do not have an internet connection, or a poor internet connection. Which rather defeats the purpose.

The content is great. I really want to support The Saturday Paper. Please, can you fix this?

Terrible Offline Experience

If you’re going to download content then don’t hold me hostage if I’m not online.

App goes into a death loop if you are not online and then you can’t read what you’ve already downloaded. Which rather defeats the point of downloaded content.

Really annoying as I am a supporter of paid for journalism.
