Damien Kelly of West Orange purchases two round trip tickets, which costs $40 each for the bus ride to the inauguration in Washington D.C, handed by Angenetta Robinson, treasurer for People’s Organization for Progress during their weekly meeting held at Abysinnian Baptist Church in Newark.

Newark group plans bus trip to Obama inauguration

The People’s Organization For Progress (POP) will sponsor a charter bus to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20 for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.

“We are taking this trip to Washington for the swearing-in of President-Elect Barack Obama because we want to be a part of history,” said POP State Chairman Lawrence Hamm.

The cost is $40 round-trip. Only seats paid for in advance will be reserved. For tickets or information, call (973) 801-0001.
