During her townhall broadcast on MSNBC on Friday night, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) interrupted the flow of questions to snap at a heckler who called a fellow lawmaker a “moron.”
Appearing with Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC), the two were discussing the Green New Deal with the Republican stating that it would be impossible to pass the resolution to obtain carbon neutrality “with the number of committee references that you would have in the course of that.”
“Make the changes now, you moron,” shouted one man from the audience which drew a rebuke from the freshman lawmaker.
“Hey, hey, hey, hey that’s unacceptable,” Ocasio-Cortez lectured.
“And that’s the difference between me and Trump,” she added as she turned back to Inglis.
