Hey readers,
As winter draws ever nearer, your humble Journalistas are getting ready to start working on the Yule, the next issue of the Journal. To that end, we need your submissions! Thanks so much to everybody who has already sent something in. If you’ve been thinking about writing or creating something for us, today is the last day for submissions, so get them in to us quick quick quick! We’re looking for campaign updates, biocentric theory, critical analysis, poetry, artwork, reviews, Dear Shit-fer-Brains, and more! If you think it has a place in the Earth First! Journal, then send it on in! We would especially love to hear from folks who are fighting on the frontlines right now: tell us about your campaign and what readers of the Journal can do to help you. (I’m looking at YOU, L’eau Est La Vie and Appalachians Against Pipelines!) We would also love to have a few submissions that connect the dots between environmental struggle and other forms of intersectional resistance.
Please get your submissions to us as soon as possible, ideally by midnight tonight (November 30, 2018). As a reminder, submissions should be no more than 3200 words (500 for a review or 300 for a Dear SFB submission), and should adhere to the core tenets of Earth First! (biocentrism, direct action, no compromise). Submissions can be mailed to us electronically at collective [at] earthfirstjournal [dot] org or by mail at P.O. Box 1112, Grants Pass, OR, 97528. We hope to hear from you SOON!
