When your ‘Chowkidar’ protested against the wrong ways of ‘U-turn babu’ and his government, he parted ways with NDA and became allies of those who are out on bail for their own criminal histories: PM Modi

Keeping pace with his pre-2014 election campaigning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed his third public rally today in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, which saw a large public presence.

Enlisting the numerous achievements of his government since taking over in 2014, Prime Minister Modi said, “My government has worked day and night over the last five years to improve the lives of our people and to meet their expectations from us. From approving the Polavaram Ordinance to approving Andhra’s first Central University, from approving IIIT in Kurnool to also approving its Mega Solar Park and from giving Andhra Pradesh its first IIT, NIT, IIM and AIIMS to establishing the South Coast Headquarters of the Indian Railways in Visakhapatnam, all of this and more wasn’t done by the TDP government or by the Congress, who ruled the country for years, rather the government of this ‘Chowkidar’ has done all of this in just 60 months.”

Highlighting the significance of the people’s vote in the coming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi attributed it to a sunrise and a sunset. He explained, “There will be 2 major happenings on 11th April 2019 when Andhra Pradesh goes to vote. One, the day will mark the sunrise of Andhra Pradesh and the sunset of corruption and scams that have become endemic here. Everybody knows of the corrupt and illegal activities of the state government here. However, when this ‘Chowkidar’ of yours (PM Modi) protested against the wrong ways of ‘U-turn babu’ and his party, he parted ways with NDA and became allies of those who are out on bail for their own criminal histories.”

Lastly, Prime Minister Modi lambasted the Opposition parties including TDP and Congress for neglecting the plights of the farmers of the state and doing little to address their concerns despite years of staying in power. He compared this situation with his government at the Centre which has taken a number of significant decisions to empower the farmers of the state while also providing them access to social security schemes.
