"the convictions will drastically limit our ability to work, travel and take part in everyday life. Yet, people seeking asylum in this country face worse than this: they are placed in destitution and their lives in limbo, by the Home Office’s vicious system every single day"

Last night my sister packed a bag for her husband of 20 years to be deported. I sat with her at 3.30am as we waited for possible news of a reprieve. It didn't come. That's my baby sister, I can't help her or my niece & nephew, words can't express how we feel right now.

The entire case has set a dangerous precedent for political dissent and peaceful protest. All while the UK Government continues racist and draconian detention and deportation practices - when will it end?

Fantastic that none of the will be receiving custodial sentences! The charges should be dropped entirely, and each of them acquitted. The only guilty party is the Home Office and the environment

My friend is on that plane bound for Jamaica this morning. I've just spoken to his wife. His daughter, (16 last week) and son (13 next week) are inconsolable. Dad's been here for well over 20 years, has nobody in Jamaica. We've all been up all night, very sad day for humanity.

Great news that none of the will be jailed for standing up for human rights. It’s important we defend the right to protest - it’s protest that delivered all of the rights that today we take for granted 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
