  2. After the Christchurch massacre we must stem the rising tide of Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racism & bigotry in Australia. The Greens have a plan for a united, respectful and decent society that welcomes and celebrates difference, and recognises that we are one common humanity.

It’s International Day of Forests, a time when precious forests should be protected. Instead, Labor & Liberal still support logging native forests for woodchips. Only the will end native forest logging now and move to 100% plantation timber - we’re already at 88%!

Labor gave only ONE recommendation for mine rehabilitation inquiry report, to kick it all to a review. This is after 2 years worth of thorough work by Committee. Clear Labor doesn’t want to anger their mining donors so close to election

Victorian Premier has a "different take" on our demands... don't know how you couldn't hear "hey hey ho ho, fossil fuels have got to go", but here they are: 1: no new coal and gas 2: 100% renewables by 2030 3. Stop Adani's coal mine

Today in Question Time I asked Premier Dan Andrews how his Government can justify their support for new coal, oil & gas projects when our kids are striking from school & demanding no new coal and gas. Unsurprisingly, he couldn’t answer. These projects must be scrapped.

Dan Andrews today in Parliament denied that the had demands that included “no new coal and gas”. Might be worth setting him straight ?

Greens Sam Hibbins also backs the motion. Both motions pass unanimously to applause with Speaker Brooks saying he is proud of the House.

State of the Environment report shows that Victoria is HIGHEST per capita emitter of any place in the entire OECD. And transport emissions grew 39% between 1990 and 2016. And yet this Government is opening new coal & gas projects. We must change course!

Yes indeed. The time for new fossil fuel projects is long over. Here in VIC we need to rule out further offshore oil & gas exploration. Pls sign our petition to the premier here >>

Today launched our 6 point plan to deliver cheaper, cleaner electricity for small business. We’ll help them switch from gas to renewables, sell them electricity on a ‘not for profit’ basis & stand up to big corporations to level the playing field.

This magnificent old tree, revered by some as a former Aboriginal birthing tree, is due to come down today for Western Highway widening. Protesters and police are on site. I'm told it "might get messy".

We took our this morning to tell the ⁦⁩ govt to fix our crisis, introduce a container deposit scheme, ban single-use plastics & support an onshore recycling industry. No more recycling to landfill!

This is the tree🌳 the most sacred of the birthing trees thought to be between 800-1000 years old. It is said 10,000 infants were delivered in these trees. Tomorrow machines will be cutting them down to save commuters 3 minutes on western hwy.

We need to give trees that are hundreds of years old the same value as houses. Roads can bend. Protesters face off with riot police over removal of 'sacred' trees along Western Highway via
