The Future of Enrollment
Originally broadcast: Thursday, April 27, 2017

Over the past decade and a half, colleges have diversified their enrollment streams and advanced their brand name by expanding their geographic reach and opening up new markets of undergraduate students. The question now is whether the next generation of college students will make the same choices as their predecessors and travel far distances to attend college. Evidence on demographics and traditional student migration suggests they won’t. Even as more institutions expand their search areas for admissions, many indications suggest the market for students willing to get on a plane or drive several hours to college is not growing at the same rate.

This hour-long webinar will give an overview of the future enrollment picture for colleges and discuss key findings from a new Chronicle of Higher Education report, including:

  • The forecast for demographics and how the growth in high-school graduates will be among students who in the past have been unwilling or unable to travel far to college.
  • Strategies employed by colleges to succeed in a new environment where more institutions recruit farther from their home base and the competition to land students becomes tougher.
  • The future of college admissions and the shifting landscape when it comes to finding students, evaluating them, and better matching them to institutions.

Making the Jump to a Modern Budgeting Process in the Cloud
Originally broadcast: Thursday, December 15, 2016

The current conditions in higher education - from revenue uncertainty to increased scrutiny on costs and outcomes - are leading institutions of all types to re-consider their budgeting and forecasting processes. The challenges of today cannot be effectively managed using outdated planning solutions or offline spreadsheets. The process of moving beyond status quo can be daunting, and often institutions find themselves not knowing the proper questions to ask. When this transition is effectively managed, it can improve the institutional decision making and financial footing.

In this webinar, you will hear how other institutions such as University College London and Tufts University have effectively transitioned to a modern budgeting approach.
