National Air and Space Museum

The Museum’s cafeteria is being renovated to better serve our visitors.  A temporary cafeteria featuring sandwiches, salads, hot and cold drinks, and desserts is now open in the former McDonald’s location on the first floor.
This location is group friendly and offers prepaid vouchers to groups of 10 or more! We currently have two different group options available:

Option 1 -  ($10.00)
Hot Dog or Snack Box (hummus and pita, cheese and crackers, etc..)
Chips or Fruit
Bottled Beverage

Discount available for advanced sales only, not valid for same day purchases. Minimum order of 10, no complimentary vouchers issued. No reserved seating. Vouchers expire 9/30/19. 2019 vouchers can be exchanged for 2020 vouchers. To qualify for exchange, Smithsonian Group Sales & Reservations office
must receive unused vouchers no later than 9/20/19.

Lockheed Martin IMAX® Theater and Albert Einstein Planetarium 
Groups of 10 or more receive discounted tickets to any daytime education film at the Lockheed IMAX Theater or Einstein Planetarium. 
Groups receive 1 complimentary ticket per every 20 purchased (excludes bulk vouchers). Discounts available for advanced sales only. Discount not applicable for same day purchases. Additional discounts available for Title I schools. Restrictions apply.

IMAX Theater Vouchers (Bulk) $6 each
Need some flexibility? Groups can purchase vouchers to the Smithsonian IMAX Theaters and Planetarium in bulk. Vouchers are good for any daytime educational film.
Minimum order of 50, no complimentary vouchers issued. No reserved seating. Vouchers expire 9/29/18. 2018 vouchers can be exchanged for 2019 vouchers. To qualify for exchange, Smithsonian Group Sales & Reservations office must receive unused vouchers no later than 9/21/18.

IMAX and Planetarium On Demand 
View a special morning screening of your favorite IMAX film or Planetarium show at Smithsonian Theaters. IMAX and Planetarium On Demand screenings are offered for groups of 50 or more (80 for Title I Schools) every morning prior to 10:00 am. Minimum 1-week notice required to book dates, film choices are subject to availability.

Ride Simulators: 
SpaceWalk features an orbital journey around the International Space Station. 

Wings allows visitors to ride on a variety of history's greatest flying machines, from the Sopwith Camel to the F-5 Tiger. 

Cosmic Coaster takes riders on a dazzling futuristic journey through the cosmos.

Interactive Flight Simulators: 
Climb aboard and try your skills at air-to-air combat in numerous historic aircraft, including the P-51 Mustang, F-4 Phantom II, F-16 Fighting Falcon and many more. Launch your sortie and take to the skies as you climb, dive, and roll your simulator in 360-degree barrel rolls.

Virtual Reality Transporter:
Be 'transported' into space and see the Earth as never before with our state-of-the-art motion-based virtual reality ride using the latest visual display technology! With our electronic VR goggles, you will be immersed in the action as you look in any direction during the adventure. The VR Transporter makes you feel as though you are there!

Featured VR Adventure:
Spacewalk–Danger in Orbit: Leave the safety of the Space Shuttle cargo bay on an exciting extravehicular activity (EVA)as you tour around the International Space Station, Your mission is to test out a new manned-maneuvering unity. Witness the dangers of living and working in space.

Important Information for Simulator Rides:
Riders must be 42" (approximately 107 centimeters) tall for the Ride Simulators unless accompanied by an adult. Riders must be 48" (approximately 122 centimeters) tall to ride the Interactive Flight Simulators. All simulators are full motion rides so people with back, neck, heart trouble or those who are pregnant should not ride.
