In an effort to further strengthen the capacity of Civil Society organizations, UNDP Rwanda in partnership with RGB launches a call for project and research proposal. The call is open until the 26th April 2019. As one of the components of the CSO programme, the micro-grant component is part of a wider strategy of strengthening civil society organization and deepening more permanent and sustainable dialogue channels between CSOs and Government to advocate for the voices of civil society to be heard and considered in public policy making.
Gender equality and women’s empowerment GEWE) lies at the heart of the 2030 Agenda. While the world in general has made strides towards achieving the GEWE, more still needs to be done to achieve it. In Rwanda, UNDP in collaboration with UN Women, GMO and PSF have started the Gender Equality Seal in the private sector to sensitize private companies to adopt the GEWE principles.

Rwanda is consistently ranked among the leading countries in Africa and across the world on promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women. However, despite the considerable progress made in many areas, women and girls still have less access to productive resources and face more difficulties than men in gaining access to decent work and productive employment opportunities.
Rwanda will host the first ever Africa Green Growth Forum, gathering more than 1,000 investors, policy makers and financial specialists from across the continent to share experiences in green growth and climate resilient development. The weeklong forum takes place from 26 to 30 November 2018 at the Kigali Convention Centre and at sites around the country.
The Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Rwanda Housing Authority and in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has inaugurated the Rukumberi Green Village in Ngoma District.
