Diversity @ Facebook

“
Frankly, I think [diversity is] our problem to figure out. I think that responsibility rests on us and our companies in the industry to make sure that we get to that. And there's so much research that shows that you need diverse teams to do the best work. So it's important that we do better on diversity, not only because it's the right thing to do for the country and for the people, but because that's the only way we're going to serve our community the best.
Diversity Isn't Optional
To bring the world closer together, diversity is a must-have for Facebook, not an option. Hiring people with different backgrounds and experiences helps us build better products, make better decisions and better serve our clients. We’re committed to building a workforce that’s as diverse as the communities we serve, and strive to provide the best possible care and resources to help all of our employees thrive—at work, in their personal life and across every life stage.
MAKING AN IMPACT
We are proud of the impact diversity is having on who we are and what we do. Allow us to introduce a few of the people making a difference at Facebook.

DIVERSITY PROGRAMS
With the help of a variety of programs, we're building a more diverse and inclusive Facebook.

Managing Inclusion

We train managers to understand the issues facing team members from backgrounds different than their own, manage bias across their teams and ensure that all team members feel valued.

Be the Ally

An ally stands up for others to build inclusion in the workplace. Be the Ally gives all our employees a common language, tools and space to practice being a stronger ally at work.
