Although not really a comic artist in the original sense, J. Otto Seibold's work shows enough comic influences to be mentioned here. He is especially known for children's books, such as 'Mr. Lunch Takes a Plane Ride', 'Olive, The Other Reindeer' and 'Penguin Dreams', which he made together with his wife, Vivian Walsh. Highlights of his career include an MTV award, converting a 42nd Street sex-cinema into a "child-friendly peep-show" in New York, an art show for the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and his collaboration with Matt Groening on a film version of his book 'Olive'. Seibold lives in San Francisco.
