भोपाल में यूनियन कार्बाइड हादसे के पीड़ितों के संगठनों के नेताओं ने आज एक पत्रकार वार्ता में यह घोषणा की कि वह कल गैस राहत मंत्री से मिलने के लिए नीलम पार्क में इंतजार करेंगे | उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त की कि मंत्री महोदय 1000 हज़ार से ज्यादा पीड़ितों को कल 11 से 5 बजे के बीच, हर गैस पीड़ित को मुआवजे में 5 लाख रूपए देने के बारे में, अपना बयान देंगे | संगठनों ने इस कार्यक्रम का नाम इंतजार-ए-इन्साफ रखा है |
At a Press Conference today leaders of four organizations of the survivors of the Union Carbide disaster in Bhopal announced that they will be waiting tomorrow at Neelam Park for the Minister of Bhopal Gas Relief to meet with them. They expect that the Minister will speak on the issue of Rs. 5 lakhs as compensation for the gas disaster to each survivor, while addressing over 1000 survivors who will await his arrival from 11 AM to 5 PM at Neelam Park as part of their “Intezaar-E-Insaf” (Waiting for Justice) programme.
Survivors and allies took out a torch rally marking 34 years since the Bhopal Gas Disaster. The survivors of this on-going disaster still await justice as both the Government of India and Dow Chemical continue to ignore their responsibilities and the ethics they publicly endorse.

संगठनों ने कहा कि यूनियन कार्बाइड के मालिक डाव केमिकल के साथ श्री मोदी के विशेष सम्बन्ध सन 2008 से उजागर है जब उनके मुख्यमंत्री रहते डाव कंपनी ने गुजरात केमिकल्स एन्ड एल्कालिस के साथ जॉइंट वेंचर बनाने की कोशिश की थी | प्रधानमंत्री की हैसियत से श्री मोदी ने अपने 2015 की अमरीकी यात्रा के दौरान डाव केमिकल के सी.ई.ओ को विशेष भोज पर बुलाया था और उनके साथ फोटो भी खिचवाई थी |
Addressing a Press Conference on the occasion of the 34th Anniversary of the Union Carbide disaster in Bhopal, leaders of four survivors’ organisations said that the Indian government is protecting the criminal corporations with more zeal and being more indifferent towards the victims, ever since Mr. Modi became the Prime Minister.
The organisations said that Mr. Modi’s special relationship with Dow Chemical, Union Carbide’s owner, is known since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat where Dow tried to set up a joint venture with Gujarat Chemicals and Alkalis in 2008. As the Prime Minister, Modi is known to have invited Dow Chemical’s CEO to a special dinner and photo-op during one of his visits to US in 2015.
