The Progress Workshop is FREE for up to 2 staff/parents per school. Lunch, tea/coffee and refreshments provided.

Join over 200 teachers, environmental educators and local government officers to discover how to connect students to life on land and below water including local waterways and Port Phillip Bay. Presenters will share real life experiences from schools that have recently started on their sustainability journey through to those who have been the leaders for numerous years.

Steps to Sustainability 2019 will showcase how teachers are using sustainability to support the Victorian Curriculum and how schools are implementing the ResourceSmart Schools program and United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Keynote speakers confirmed – Cr Arron Wood (City of Melbourne Deputy Lord Mayor and Director of Kids Teaching Kids) and Summer Howarth & Cheryl Laks (Zoos Victoria).

Presenters confirmed – Teachers from 20 schools show casing their innovative sustainability projects, curriculum and initiatives.

This conference has been designed especially for people working on school sustainability projects and curriculum initiatives. Enjoy a day at the Zoo, meet other teachers and get lots of ideas to take back to your workplace.
