The question was put to me by a friend, a Haitian New Yorker called Delcarmise...
We intend to challenge the stories which underpin our civilisation: the myth of progress, the myth of human centrality, and the myth of our separation from ‘nature’.
We are living in an age of loss: the sixth mass extinction. In this section we seek responses not only to the deaths of whole species, but to the quieter extirpations, losses and disappearances that are steadily stripping our world of its complexity and beauty. How do we, as writers and artists, stay human during such times?
