John Perkins
Inspector
John Perkins has been with the Sports Grounds Safety Authority, and previously the Football Licensing Authority since 2003.
John is an Inspector for clubs in the South West and Wales. During his time with the SGSA, John has been involved with multiple projects including being part of the team that developed the Safety Management guidance. He is also involved in developing police training.
Prior to joining the SGSA, John was a police officer with West Midlands Police, where he retired as Chief Superintendent. During his police career he was involved in operational activities and CID. This included being a police commander at football grounds.
