Events and Activities

In addition to its three main areas of work on Standards, Complaints and Policy,  the Australian Press Council organises a number of events and activities to promote media standards, community access to information of public interest, and freedom of expression through the media.

This section provides information about them under the following headings:
 

• Council events: Round Tables, public forums, addresses, conferences and other events organised or sponsored by the Council.
   
• Educational activities: training and information sessions for journalists and students of journalism; annual prizes for tertiary students' work on the ethics of journalism.
   
• Other events: events convened by other organisations which are relevant to the Council's work.
