    This is correct. The AFL are extraordinarily good at hi jacking moments or events or historical precedents and claiming they ''belong'' to the indigenous code. Its a great sport, with massive popular appeal in Vic, WA and SA. No need to embellish it and make it something it isn't

    This is Betty Cuthbert, winning gold at a packed MCG during the 1956 Olympics. Australian Rules did not create women’s sport in this country nor has it supplied its greatest moment. Cut the hyperbole & learn some historical perspective.

    Did my first ever full commentary (special comments) on an NPL match, Port Melbourne v Hume tonight. Lashing rain, blowing a gale and plunging temperatures. But it was special as my son Joey was the play by play commentator. Never thought that would happen! Port won 5-1 btw...

    Attorney General Geoffrey Cox 'apologises' for failing to declare thousands of pounds in rent on his London flat. He conveniently remembered to claim £157,059 expenses last year, though. Including 49p for a pint of milk. Now imagine if this was a benefits claimant.
