"Galactic Rainbow" Niton, Isle Of Wight

“Galactic Rainbow” Niton, Isle Of Wight by Chad Powell

Due to this image consisting of 50 individual photographs, all taken within the same hour, it took an incredibly long time to stitch together. All that being said, the end result is a 360 degree view of Castle Haven, showing off the entire Milky Way that arches above our heads starting in the south and finishing in the north. Very little adjustments to the milky way were needed, due to the incredibly clear night that evening. What you see here is the most natural colours of our galaxy, and the most accurate we’d see with our eyes if they were as sensitive to light as my camera. Also, the small smudge to the right of the left side of the milky way is in fact the Andromada Galaxy.

Water Path II.

Water Path II. by David Sangüesa

Second picture of the series Water Path. (Horizontal view, a shorter long exposure to capture the movement of the waves over the path) Sunrise at the wonderful port of Villajoyosa -Alicante-. This autumn day was mostly cloudy, they moved very quickly so I decided to create this long exposure image. The whole way was covered by water and as a result, algae cling to it, making a walk a little dangerous to reach the small lighthouse. Gulls and Cormorants was occupied very relaxed, knowing that no one would be close by to disturb them. The calm that reigned in that port was a present to my senses. Image dedicated to my friend on Flickr Julián Solana (Tiogran), who met him in person that morning in his wonderful land. To reach this picture in one unique Raw, I used a grauated neutral 3 steps filter. I hope you like it.
