    My 81-year-old father just went to the opera. After excitedly telling me how wonderful the 4-hour experience was he said: "I don't know what I would do at my age if I didn't live in NYC". These are the things that keep him sharp, inspired and fulfilled. He's one of the fortunate.

    Working for a distributed company is amazing in that when we say “cast the net wide” it means The World. However you quickly realize *your world* is too small because you can’t actually access anything outside of your own network and community.
