Upon the release of her new single, some fans accused Ariana Grande of ripping off Soulja Boy's flow from his song Pretty Boy Swag, while others suggested the song's video stole from 2 Chainz's 'pink trap house' aesthetic. Rapper Princess Nokia later joined the fray, accusing Grande of stealing her flow from the song Mine. Nokia was then accused of ripping off the artist Kali Uchis.

"mine" sound like "spend it." "spend it" sound like flockaveli. i'm not taking a hard stance because i get that there's a deeper complaint about this rollout that i want to hear more about. but in the case of this song, it's pretty rich to claim complete ownership of the concept.
