Pentagon identifies three of four Americans killed in Syria attack

On Friday, the Pentagon released the names of two US troops and a civilian Defense Department employee who were killed a suicide bombing by the self-styled Islamic State. The fourth victim, a contractor, was identified in a piece by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Three other Americans were injured.

Shannon Kent from Pine Plains, NY was a Naval Chief Petty Officer. She was killed 1/16 in the attack in Syria with 3 other Americans. To Shannon's family & the families of these brave members of our Armed Forces: I salute your selflessness. We owe you a debt we can never repay.
