Chile – Issue 29 of anarchist bulletin “La Bomba” is out

In a Black September of commemoration, 20 years after comrade Claudia López’s death, conscious and hooded fighting youths took back the streets. There were many initiatives, actions and words in her memory. Barricades and molotov attacks took place in several university campuses with such devastating power that political leaders got worried. Even before these disorders erupted, police carried out several arrests evoking the spectre of revolution, whereas the press started talking about an anarchist cell. 11 comrades were arrested and accused of having placed and detonated an explosive device against the Association of Judicial Assistants (CAJ) in Melpilla, on 14th May 2017. 3 comrades are still being held in pre-trial detention.
The night helps us to hide delinquent and conscious vandalism, sabotage and armed attacks on those police bastards. 45 years after the beginning of the military coup, the most terrible repression and armed resistance against power. In this issue we affirm that indifference and oblivion don’t exist for those who struggle; no one surrenders and anonymous comrades continue to spread ideas and multiple actions so as not to give up in spite of everything.

Spain: Freedom for Lisa! Freedom for Everybody!

On April 13th, 2016, the Mossos d’Esquadra (the police force of Catalonia), in collaboration with the German police, raided three homes in Barcelona, which culminated in the arrest of two women comrades accused of expropriating a branch of the Pax Bank (which is owned by the Vatican) in Aachen, Germany. The ensuing trial resulted in the acquittal of one of the comrades, and a sentence of 7.5 years for Lisa, a comrade who has been very actively involved in anarchist, feminist and anti-racist struggles in Barcelona.
After being incarcerated for 2.5 years inside the prisons of the Spanish and German states, Lisa was extradited to the prison in Soto del Real (a town located about 43km from Madrid), where she remains to this day, held in a cell for 21 hours a day with only 3 hours of fresh air / exercise, in complete isolation. But today we intend to shorten distances and break this isolation that seeks to indoctrinate, punish and nullify.

Italy – News about the New Year’s Day gathering

On the night of New Year’s Eve, like last year, there was a gathering outside the prison of Sollicciano (Florence). In spite of the bitter cold, which was particularly pungent in that horrible area, the night was heated up and brightened by the warm high spirits of the many comrades who came for the occasion. Besides noise and fireworks, some rapper comrades gave us a splendid concert for a couple of hours.
It didn’t look as though there was much response from inside, but from a telephone call this morning we learned that they heard us loud and strong and that it was quite emotional; the guards had previously locked the armoured doors of all the cells, so we couldn’t hear the shouting coming from inside. This is only a small gesture, but we are glad we created some closeness in a night when the feeling of isolation inside becomes more oppressive, while the rest of the world outside celebrates we don’t quite know what.
The night continued with a TAZ in the neighbourhood near the prison with music until 7 in the morning, then we left the area without any trouble.
Until next time!

USA : Update on Vegan Anarchist Political Prisoner Eric King Communication Restricted: Call in to Help!

Update 1/16/19: On the fourth day of his hunger strike Eric was able to get a five minute call to his wife in exchange for eating dinner on 1/14/19 by negotiating with the prison.  He has been standing strong and is in good spirits.  He has definitely sent the message to the prison that he is backed up by our support on the outside.  He has shown them that he is motivated and that he will see this out.
The lower level administration is desperately trying to find answers for him as to why Leavenworth restricted his communication with his partner.  It was explained to him (as our research showed) that for a prison to restrict a spouse’s communication there is a complicated process that must be followed; we know that this was 100% not done.Yesterday the executive assistant at Leavenworth gave false information saying that Eric was informed on November 20th, 2018 at 12pm (an oddly specific and arbitrary time and date) that the communication restriction was being put in place and why.  This is a blatant lie.
Both Eric and his Lieutenant were shocked by this information because no one else at Leavenworth seems to have this same understanding.  It seems that the warden, the executive assistant and only upper-level staff at Leavenworth have this information and they are doing whatever they can to keep it and cover it up (likely because they know that the proper processes were not followed).  They have gone so far as to ‘lose’ two of the grievances EK filed in the last two months trying to get information.Their time is up.

Chile : A Telephone Company van torched

Since the outset of civilization, technology has been yet another instrument of domination among those of power. In recent decades telecommunications have acquired an important role in the imposition of progress in various areas of the planet.
Telefónica stands among the biggest telecommunication multinationals, a Spanish company that concentrates its activities in Europe and Latin America.
The installation of infrastructures necessary to brutal and horrible activities, such as pylons, repeaters, optic fibres and many others, is being supported and nourished through the devastation of territories and the living beings who inhabit them. Moreover Telefónica have research centres for the development of control technologies, thus supplying the police with instruments to persecute those who rebel against power and domination.

Bari and Potenza, Italy : Revolts beak out in local migrant detention centres

A revolt broke out in the CPR [Reception and Repatriation Centre] of Bari Palese tonight, a few days after an attempt at a mass escape.
According to what the forces of order declared to the press, some prisoners set fire to cells, vandalized offices where documents were kept and flooded corridors.
Of course the media talk of ‘guests’ who destroyed ‘residential modules’, as though this were not a concentration camp.
Allegedly the revolt broke out to stop a mass deportation to Nigeria, which was expected during the night. The information circulating at the moment talks of prisoners covered in soap to avoid being held, and also of soapy water preventing the forces of order from charging on the slippery floors.
Several squads of Forces of Order arrived and attacked the rioters, who tried to resist by throwing objects.

Germany : Action against German and Turkish fascists

In the early hours of 24/10 we set fire to a van of DITIB in Wienerstrasse. We chose the twentieth anniversary of Sehid Ronahi-Andrea Wolf’s death as the day of our action. Andrea was murdered twenty years ago by fascist squads in the Turkish State because she was an internationalist. DITIB, like any other institution, represents the interests of the Turkish fascist State in Germany and in Europe. We dedicate this action to all those who lost their lives in the struggle against fascism.

In the night we smashed the windows of the restaurant Heimspiel in the FC 07 sporting ground in Leipzig and we also painted it in black.

Buenos Aires, Argentina: Responsibility Claim for the Explosive Attack Against a Santander Rio Bank Branch

In the early morning hours of December 2nd, 2018, within the context of the G20 meeting in Buenos Aires, we detonated an explosive device that caused the destruction of a Santander Rio Bank branch located in Flores, Buenos Aires.
We claim this action against a Summit that we consider to be the ultimate expression of this extractivist system that is based on the constant plundering of nature and the murder, torture and domination of all expressions of life. This is what the capitalist system of today, under the guise of social democracy, is based upon.
We carried out this attack against civilization and its progress, against public order and the civil peace, against political parties and their false solutions, for the victims of the imperialist invasion of Abya Yala, for all those who were assassinated by the State and for all the human and non-human animals in their prisons.

France : The last prisoner of the Quai Valmy case will soon be released on bail

The request for release on bail concerning the last person in prison for the Quai de Valmy case was definitively rejected by the Chamber of sentence enforcement, appeal jurisdiction of sentence enforcement Judge (JAP).
He will remain locked up in the prison of Meaux till he gets out with the benefit of sentence reduction; the appointed date is end of January [1].
However, they will be among the people affected by the bill drawn up by Taubira [socialist minister of law] in 2014 (art. 71-2 of the penal code), which allows the application of a certain number of restrictions to the period of sentence reduction; otherwise there’s the risk of going straight back to prison. In short, a sort of judicial control in retrospect, after a custodial sentence has already been served, which constitutes an additional sentence under the pretext of rehabilitation.
Judge and Prosecutor, undoubtedly because they found he would get out (a little) too soon for their taste didn’t spare anything to give him almost all the possible restrictions in this case:

In the night of New Year’s Eve and despite the heavy rainstorm approximately 200 comrades were gathered outside the Petrou Ralli Detention Centre to change the year with the migrant people that are kept there. The detainees showed a strong front! They shouted chants, they threw part of the false ceiling of their cells outside the windows, they burnt objects and threw the bowls with their extremely ‘savory’ (as always) dinner in the courtyard. The presence of police as well as riot police was quite notable. Unfortunately, as it has been established as a common practice during our interventions, after a while the guards reacted and isolated the migrants in the back side of the prison, sealing the windows.

Comments Off on Sardinia, Italy : Request for house arrest for Paolo rejected and updates on the prison of Uta

Sardinia, Italy : Request for house arrest for Paolo rejected and updates on the prison of Uta

A request for a change of custodial measure for Paolo from prison to house arrest, has been rejected.
Paolo was arrested over a year ago, on 31st October 2017, following an armed robbery at a Cagliari post office, for which he was sentenced to 6 years in the first grade trial.
The reasons for the rejection of the request are purely a question of principle, i.e. it was pointed out how ‘the events under consideration are particularly serious and indicate the coldness and unscrupulousness of the perpetrator of the robbery in relation to the circumstances and modalities of the occurrence’; moreover ‘as for the time elapsed… it is still absolutely adequate to the gravity of the crimes committed and the measure of the severity of the sentence…’, therefore ‘there is no reason to revoke the current custodial measure, whereas there are excellent reasons for it to remain valid’.

Hamilton, Canada :Cedar Updates! New Mailing Address

From Hamilton Anarchist Support

Cedar has been transferred from Barton Jail in Hamilton to Vanier Centre for Women in Milton where they will serve the duration of their sentence. While there, they would love to receive mail from people (friends and strangers alike!). Mail can be sent to the following address:

Peter “Cedar” Hopperton
Vanier Centre for Women
655 Martin Street
Milton, Ontario
L9T 5E6

They’d be happy to receive letters and would be interested in corresponding with people, and would also appreciate photocopies of things to read (news, articles, zines, books etc.) – just make sure there are no staples. You can also send them books if they are shipped directly from the publisher.

They’re currently most interested in books on Eastern Europe and the Middle East regional histories, and social movements history/histories of uprisings, revolutions etc., but would be interested in pretty much any general history, and anything anarchy related – theory, analysis, reportbacks, callouts, interviews etc. They are also interested in Italian language learning and any books that would help with that. Texts can be in English or French, or Arabic if an English translation accompanies it.

Acquittal in Fight Repression case

On November 19th 2016, a group of 250 demonstrators joined at the Kerkplein to demonstrate against the growing repression against anarchists and antifascists in The Hague and further. Repression being the always prohibiting of demonstrations and the identifying of anarchists and antifascist to then take repressive measures against them. This demonstration has also been repressed with violence from the police and with the arrest of 166 people.

Now, almost two years later the public prosecutor decided to prosecute the 166 demonstrators that were arrested at the Kerkplein. De first 50 people had to show up in court last month. After two full days in court, the judge ruled on December 3rd and the first 50 people were acquitted. Yesterday (13/12/2018) the public prosecutor decided not to appeal and to dismiss the remaining cases.

Foix, France : Sometimes, in the night

ACAB
After Grenoble, Crest, Limoges, Paris, Besançon… Foix.
In the night of 6th December, three ENEDIS sites were set on fire [ENEDIS is a branch of Electricité de France, responsible for the national electricity network].
In solitude, we listen to the night, clothed like it, black overalls behind shining eyes.
Its darkness covers us up to the scene of the crime.
Lighter in pocket.
Bottles of petrol on back.
Bodies ready for the game of chaos.
The game lasts a few hundred seconds during which we enjoy the attack on this world.
The deed done, we hasten back into the arms of the night.
We indulge in a look back.
And laugh in silence.
What a beautiful fire!

Belgium – Trial against anarchists set to begin 29th April 2019

Between 2008 and 2014, the Belgian State carried out a vast investigation of the struggle, always outside beaten paths, in protest at detention centres, borders, prisons and the world of authority and exploitation. The targets of the investigation: Acrata anarchist library, anarchist and antiauthoritarian publications, dozens of leaflets and posters, over one hundred actions, attacks and sabotage… in other words, the struggle against power in its various expressions.
Raids, bugs, cameras outside and inside homes, shadowing, phone tapping, infiltrated police… were the investigative instruments set up. However, all this has never allowed them to prove the existence of any alleged ‘anarchist terrorist group’, which only exists in cops’ authoritarian plots. As the prosecutors are not prepared to give up they have downgraded their ambitions, still counting on making someone pay all the same. So it’s on the more malleable charges of ‘criminal association’ that 12 comrades will be on trial on 29th April and in the following days.
