Solidarity statement from Rosa de Foc Squat in Athens, Greece, to anti-airport struggle ZAD in France

Friday, July 21st, 2017

As an international housing squat we think solidarity is our weapon, and as we all know weapons have categories, from handguns to nuclear bombs. Revolutionary solidarity doesn’t have boundaries and can only benefit the struggle. We are already starting to try our theories in practice about this.

International solidarity means bringing and taking ideas from one place to another, placing priorities and supporting the place that needs our help the most. Help is not only texts, supplies and solidarity demonstrations in our territory, but also our physical presence there. Working with the people, learning their language and their culture. Basic ingredients if we want to be effective and helpful, because every battle ground is different. (more…)

Toulouse: Incendiary attack against Vinci trucks (France)

Solidarity arson

Toulouse Saturday 27th February

We set fire to several trucks on a Vinci construction site.
We wanted to kick start a fire.
To have fun together,
to not go where we were expected.
It was great.
A fire in winter is warming.

Support to all the crusty kids, zadists or not

Some rascals

Solidarity actions against French consulate and VINCI owned companies (Australia)

Disruption of VINCI and French Consulate

To the defenders of the ZAD,
Solidarity from anarchists in so-called ‘Melbourne, Australia’- the never-ceded indigenous land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, stolen and occupied by the genocidal settler-colonial state.

In response to recent threats of violent eviction by the French State, actions were taken at several locations in Melbourne, the city built on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, in colonised Australia. The actions targetted the French consulate and offices of companies of the VINCI corporate-family linked to the proposed destruction of land at the Zone-A-Defendre.

The French consulate was attacked with paint and its locks were stuffed and glued.
The Offices of Menard-Bachy and Fressynet (both companies owned by VINCI), had their windows broken and slogans in support of the ZAD painted on the facade.

The Melbourne office of Electrix (a company owned by VINCI) was redecorated with a number of slogans celebrating resistance to VINCI’s plans.

Comrade killed by police defending the wetland of Testet (ZAD, France)

Tuesday, October 28th, 2014

From rabbleldn, reposted from squat.net and contrainfo:

According to a statement from squatters in the ZAD (occupied “zone to be defended”) of Notre-Dame-des-Landes, during the night between Saturday and Sunday the 26th of October 2014 a protester named Remi was killed in clashes that broke out after a rally against the construction of a dam along the Sivens forest in the wetland of Testet in the Tarn department (southern France).

Around 7000 people gathered in the ZAD (zone to be defended) of Testet, after months of police attacks and destruction of the wetland and habitations of those who defend the area. In the late evening and overnight, dozens of people attacked the forces of order that were protecting the dam construction site. Activists expressed their anger trying to delay the resumption of works, originally scheduled for Monday the 27th of October.

The cops fired rubber bullets (known as flash-balls), distraction devices such as stun hand grenades and fragmentation grenades, and tear gases. According to testimonies of protesters from the Testet wetland area, Remi must have collapsed after being hit with a grenade; then his body was reportedly taken by the repressive forces.

Prefectural authorities stated they did not want to comment on the matter before the official autopsy was made public on Monday. The government has already begun to stigmatize the protesters, in addition to trying to divide them in order to cover up what happened. But they know very well that, whatever they do, this death will have explosive consequences.

Atlanta, GA: Tractors sabotaged for the ZAD, No TAV, Hambach Forest (USA)

Wednesday, February 26th, 2014

325 receives and transmits:

On the night of February 22nd, we poured a mixture of sand and water into the fuel tanks of two tractors used in the construction of a new Atlanta streetcar. The streetcar is one of many major development projects the city has initiated in the past few years as a part of a general plan to revitalize downtown. We know that this plan only means more police and unaffordable housing.

We offer this small gesture of solidarity to the ZAD, the No TAV movement, and the occupation of the Hambach Forest. We would also like to send strength to those affected by increased surveillance or repression the new developments have brought to Atlanta.

Our action was very simple to perform. It did not take long to plan or to enact and we found all of the materials on the side of the road. We do not believe that an accumulation of “actions” makes a revolution, but we wanted to give encouragment to the current and future participants of revolutionary struggles. Onward, strong hearts!

Black February: Message of Solidarity from some people of the ZAD and elsewhere (France)

Sunday, February 24th, 2013

Message of solidarity from some people of the ZAD (Zone A Défendre) and elsewhere in France, an occupied area against an international airport and metropolisation project.

With pleasure, we heard of the reactions of solidarity against the evictions at Athens in December and January : United States, India, England, Canada, Australia, Japan, Chile… and also the numerous actions and demonstrations through Greece.

In split of contexts differences here or elsewhere, the same mechanisms of repression sweep down on all those who struggle against the imposition of what our lives should be. And who wants a liberty which have an other flavour than the sad liberty to survive in their international competition in silence. (more…)

On the 8th november a company car of the security company skånsk larmtjänst was set on fire in malmö, sweden. Skånsk larmtjänst is a part of the huge construction company vinci. The attack was carried out in solidarity with la ZAD, a anti airport project outside of nantes, france, where the french state and vinci try to build a big airport. It was also done in hatred of society and in love of anarchism.
