Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) was established by the legislature in 2012 and charged with the design, construction and operation of U.S. Bank Stadium. The MSFA consists of five members and is chaired by Michael Vekich. The other members are Tony Sertich, Bill McCarthy, Barbara Butts Williams, and Laura Bishop.

In May 2012, the Minnesota Legislature and the Minneapolis City Council approved funding for a new $975 million multi-purpose stadium to replace the Metrodome. U.S. Bank Stadium is scheduled to open in time for the 2016 NFL season. Click to view legislation.
