While the U.S. federal government is partially closed, our museums and the National Zoo will be OPEN through Jan. 1. If the partial shutdown continues beyond Jan. 1, all Smithsonian museums and the zoo will be closed starting Jan. 2.
The Smithsonian offers educational resources for school groups, both to use during their trip, and as a way to extend the museum visit into the classroom.
Outreach Packages
Title I schools are eligible for additional discounts on meals at McDonald's restaurants at the National Air and Space Museum. Title I pricing is also available at our IMAX Theaters and Planetarium for all daytime educational films. Minimum of 40 people for Title I Schools). Proof of Title I status must accompany orders. Minimum one-week notice required to book dates; film choices are subject to availability.
