I bet I can find 3 horrible people that enjoy soup. Should I hate soup?
-
-
-
If hating soup was a part of the ideology that makes them horrible people - as opposed to just a matter of personal preference - than maybe you should. Which illustrates why this is a meaningless comparison.
-
What if I can redefine “soup” to mean anything I need it to mean to prove my point?
-
You seem to fail to realize that you can't compare ideological hatred with random preference. If you hold similar positions in a key topic to people whose ideology is widely accepted to be depraved, it's time to question your views. It's not similar to favorite food or color.

The Satmar Rebbe is Anti-Zionist. Marine Le Pen and Naftali Bennett are Pro Zionist. Being for against either is not determinative of whether all you're opinions are good or bad.
-
Are you an admirer of the Satmar Rebbe’s moral or cultural philosophy?

Anti-Zionism is a form of antisemitism. And water is wet.
-
This is at the heart of the divide between Israel and its progressive antagonists: “Israelis haven’t succumbed to the fatal illusion that, if only they behaved better, their enemies would hate them less.”
-
Collective Stockholm Syndrome.

I find the comments as interesting as the article. People parsing words to suit their purpose. It is simple. Israel exists today - it should exist tomorrow and going forward. The citizens of Israel can make whatever laws they want. Other states don't have that right.
-
They don't have the right to make whatever laws they want regarding that Palestinian underclass they won't ever let vote, nor is the West Bank they're stealing Israel's country.
-
The Palestinians living in Israel has a right to vote, and even have a party in the Knesset (Israeli parliament) - although not all Arab (non Jewish) ministers are in that party. There are 18 Arab Knesset members BTW.
-
You're ruining their narrative...the one they are spoon fed without question because of their own antisemitism. They have been stuffed with their hate to the point they are like foie grais (inhumane and grotesque).

This reminds me of when the Women's March
@womensmarch comms lady, a Jewish woman, tweeted about how she thinks Netanyahu is just like Farrakhan and how the government of Israel isn't in her planned Progressive future:pic.twitter.com/AuPFvgwTUW -
When I mocked her tweets, she shared info from a Nazi wiki to defame me. Whoopsies.
-
Netanyahu sucks AND Israel is essential to Jewish existence. See? Just like Trump sucks but nobody on the left wants the USA to be eliminated.
-
Cool now read where she says the problem is "the government of Israel."
-
You will not find me defending national women’s march “leaders” ( note the quotes)

And, I suppose, there is nothing to the Likud’s continual drive to destabilize their neighbors, further Balkanize the region, foment war with Iran, or in the past, to cheerlead the invasion of Iraq in pursuit of “greater Israel?” Or that’s all just anti Semitic claptrap...?
-
It's certainly claptrap. What the impetus is to make up and/or repeat that claptrap is not really for others to say (although we might make a guess)
-
So, annexation is no longer the actual policy of Likud..? Sure.. whatever you say. If Israel wants to understand the driving force of global antisemitism, it needs look no further than the rhetoric, policies, and conduct of the Likud. Stop blaming legitimate criticism.
-
Annexation has never been "the actual policy of Likud" For example, it was a Likud-led government that withdrew from Gaza (and also some northern Samaria communities at the same time)
-
Tell that to Shamir. Anyway, neither of us are going to agree on this. I believe Bibi Netanyahu is pathological racist, liar, and war monger, and conducts the state accordingly. You aren’t likely to change my mind about that.
-
You're entitled to your opinion. But not to your own facts. Israel declared the reunited Jerusalem to be part of Israel and also extended Israeli law over the Golan. All the rest of the disputed territories are up for discussion if the PA were ever to be ready to negotiate
-
Likewise. The ongoing occupation and associated territory transfer through settlement has been ruled illegal under international law. So has the wall. So has this “reunited” Jerusalem. All by the same body that established Israel as the Jewish State.
-
So the thugocracy that is today's UN doesn't like that we built a security barrier (over 90% of which is fence) that's reduced suicide bombings practically to 0? They can declare it illegal for Israelis to refuse to be killed but that doesn't mean we have to commit suicide
