p.s. remember Gamergate, which many twitter progressives still describe as the Stalingrad of their online battle for female dignity ? would be nice if some of that same progressive mettle were on display here. the reputational threat 2 women such as MM is now arguably more severe

I think that is exactly how history will remember this spasm of displaced misogyny. Which makes it all the more ghoullish when chaise-longue progressives like respond to the deplatforming of lifelong feminists such as Meghan Murphy with schadenfreude jigs

As others have highlighted, Twitter's policies have become bizarrely unpredictable now that the company has decided to delete accounts for purely ideological reasons unrelated to hate suppression. So if my own account gets cut off, feel free to email me.

Since you guys do seem to feel so strongly about it, I will avoid using the term 'terf' in the future. Gendercritical or trans-critical will suffice. Sorry for anyone who felt personally upset by my choice of language

i took this as a joke. but when you think about it... the Libs' summer jobs agitprop was based on the fiction that being pro-life is an anti-Cdn thoughtcrime. is there any reason, in principle, why the same idea couldnt be applied to journos by "independent" Lib appointees/reps ?

When you cheer because someone you dislike gets banned from Twitter, you are cheering unnamed Bay Area apparatchiks seizing greater and greater power to dictate what you're allowed to see, using increasingly inscrutable and subjective criteria. People really want this?

interesting on sex lives of priests. 95% do the solo show. and most seem to have at least as much sex as everyone else. (benedictines got so much action that they were required to sleep fully dressed with lights on to cool things off)

amazing thread from a trans writer. main takeaway: Twitter's new censorship is more extreme than conventions existing *within the trans community itself*. Such censorship shields sex offenders, which is why it is women who are speaking up, & getting tossed off twitter as a result

I think editors need to stay off tumblr. they're too young to be exposed to that content, and it's leading them to make life-altering editorial decisions that they will regret when they're older
