Voters in the inner-west might want to take a look at these plans before you cast your vote tomorrow. Concept designs appear to show privatisation of publicly owned land with no new green space or non-profit housing and very little emphasis on active and public transport...

As of Nov 2018 there were 32,000 ppl on the Qld social housing waiting list, including 12,000 children. 4,000 of those kids were assessed as "high risk". We MUST commit to safely house every kid in a watch house today & raise the age of crim resp to 14, NOT build more prisons.

Time for pollies to get their snouts out the trough! Our Greens’ proposal to scrap pre-2004 pollie pensions scheme would save taxpayers $350million. That could pay for DV survivor grants, fund a federal ICAC, be a downpayment on raising Newstart which is decades overdue

today has been a masterclass of false equivalence and flattened perspectives; three of these top stories are pure froth, the forth is the ringing of our own extinction bell. all rendered at the same level in our newsfeeds; fast-moving, disposable churn /

Did you know that 98% of rental properties are out of reach for people on a minimum wage? This is not okay. Everyone should have a safe place to call home. That's why we'll build a housing system that puts your needs before profit 🏡

Why is there always money to imprison women & girls but never enough for safe housing, universal daycare, basic income, education, mental health & addiction services? Time to change policy direction & invest in women & girls not carceral systems

LABOR APPROVES NEW THERMAL COAL 😡😡😡😡 I am outraged. Yesterday Queensland Labor announced they have given the go ahead for the expansion of Yancoal's Cameby Downs open cut colliery near Miles.

I’m less interested in an Indigenous PM than I am in self-determination for Indigenous communities... getting one person to ‘the top’ of a broken system is easier and less impactful than redesigning the system and elevating all Indigenous ppl, and all Australians, in the process.
