An intense low will maintain cold, strong winds, heavy showers and alpine snow in TAS, VIC and southeast NSW. Troughs will cause showers and storms in the northern tropics, the NT and SA and southern WA. High pressure will clear skies over the eastern interior.

Saturday 22:00 EDT

A low over the Tasman Sea will direct brisk winds to the coast and generate large seas. Troughs will cause showers and storms in the northern tropics, interior and the southeast. A front will maintain cool winds on southwest WA. Onshore winds may cause showers in the southwest.

Sunday 22:00 EDT

A broad trough stretching from eastern WA, across the tropics to eastern QLD will trigger showers and thunderstorms. A low over the Tasman Sea will direct southerly winds to the east coast and generate large seas. A trough will direct heat southwards over SA.

Monday 22:00 EDT

A broad trough over northern WA, the NT and SA will trigger showers and thunderstorms. A cold front approaching SA will cause showers to develop. Southerly winds will bring showers to eastern NSW and VIC, and TAS. Low pressure over tropical QLD will trigger thundery showers.

Tuesday 22:00 EDT

A trough in the north will generate thunderstorms over parts of the NT and QLD. A frontal system in the southeast shall produce areas of rain, storms and gusty winds over TAS, VIC, southeastern SA and southern NSW. A high should keep the southwest dry and settled.

Wednesday 22:00 EDT

Troughs across the north should bring rain and storms to the tropics, extending into the northwestern interior. A low should continue to direct gusty southerly winds and showers over TAS, VIC, southeastern SA and southern NSW. A high should keep much of the interior clear.
