You don't get to be David Paradice without knowing when to sell. And if there's a silver lining to the famous fundie's previous associations with footy-star-briefly-turned-American-footballer Jarryd Hayne, it's that he's no longer a formal sponsor.

Hayne's back on Australian soil these days and having a torrid year. This week, a sexual assault allegation reported the world over should see him lose whatever sponsors he still has. It follows an earlier rape allegation made in the United States.

Back in 2015, when Hayne's star was on the rise, Paradice sealed an early sponsorship deal with Hayne, reported to be a lucrative four-year contract.

Hayne only played a season in the NFL, and by 2017 the Paradice sponsorship was dropped "by mutual agreement". Paradice remarked to The Australian at the time that the then Queensland-based NRL star wasn't that useful with clients.
