A senior WA policeman accused of knocking down an 18-year-old man with his work car has pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving.
The man suffered minor injuries from the collision in Thornlie on the afternoon of May 6, which was caught on video.
Richard Stephen Moore, a 55-year-old senior sergeant, was stood down from operational duties four days later.
At the time, police said officers had responded to a call about suspicious activity when they spotted the man and a scuffle ensued.
They said the man fled on foot and was arrested nearby after being struck by the police vehicle.
Mr Moore appeared in Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday and will face court again next year, on February 1.
