Bureau cancels severe storm warning

The weather bureau has cancelled its severe storm warnings for south-east Queensland.

The decision was announced about 1.10pm.

The State Emergency Service received less than 10 calls for help and none were for serious damage.

The calls came from Ipswich, Logan and Gold Coast residents who were mostly reporting trees down, according to a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman.

A spokesperson for the weather bureau said they would continue to monitor the situation and issue further warnings if necessary on Thursday afternoon.
