Collection of Non-Personal Information

We collect some anonymous information about how visitors use this website by setting and accessing cookies on your computer. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer. These cookies track information such as how often visitors visit the website, what pages are viewed, and where visitors go after leaving the website.  Cookies can make the web more useful by storing information about your preferences on a particular site, which allows websites to “remember” users across pages of a site and across multiple visits to a site.  Cookies in and of themselves do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s computer.  Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can set your settings to refuse cookies. If you choose to disable a cookie, you may not be able to use certain features of the website.

We automatically store information related to a visitor’s use of this website in our log files, such as the pages you view on the website, your browser type, IP address, operating system, referring URL and the date and time of your visit.  We use this type of information to administer the website and to analyze trends.  This information is not tied to any of your personal information.

La Casa may disclose your information if La Casa believes that such action is needed to: (1) comply with the law or the legal process, (2) protect against misuse or unauthorized use or access of this website, or (3) protect the personal safety, property, or rights of any person.  Please note that nothing in this Privacy Policy & Terms of Use is intended to limit La Casa’s right to challenge or object to any subpoenas or other legal process or to waive the Domestic Violence Counselor privilege set forth in California Evidence Code Section 1037 et seq. which protects confidential communications with a domestic violence counselor.

If you make an online donation, your personal information will be shared with Qgiv, the company that processes our online donations. Qgiv’s use of your personal information is governed by Qgiv’s privacy policy, which can be found here.
