Outcomes of the SACP PEC meeting
The South African Communist Party (SACP) convened its ordinary plenary session of the 8th Congress Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) on the 17 - 18 November 2018 at the ANC Caucus Boardroom in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.
SACP lodges complaint with the Press Council Ombud on allegations published by the City Press
The South African Communist Party (SACP) has lodged a complaint with the Press Council Ombud on the story that the "VBS BANK PAID MILLIONS FOR SACP" published by the City Press. The City Press circulated the headline on 10 November 2018.
SACP-COSATU Gauteng 2019 Election readiness gains momentum
The 2019 Voter Readiness Campaign led by the South African Communist Party (SACP) and its class ally the Congress of South African Trade Union (COSATU) in Gauteng has taken Eldorado Park by storm.
SACP calls for the immediate release of the Ivorian former President Laurent Gbagbo who is illegally detained by the International Criminal Court (ICC)
The South African Communist Party notes with concern the unfolding trial of former Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo, which is currently in progress at the International Criminal Court (ICC). The trial exposes some incongruities that warrant attention. Firstly, President Laurent Gbagbo has been held in detention since 30 November 2011 against all common sense. Secondly, provisional release was denied 13 times, even though his guilt remains to be proven.
