Kids on the spectrum or with other differences can have involuntary ‘hand flaps’ or other stims when they’re excited that they need help to settle. Her dad holding her hands helps calm her and regulate her mind. Similar to a weighted blanket! Have a google of ‘squeeze machine’! X
