True story: Spent the day working on vs. Trump story. Went to dinner with my wife and we were discussing ins and outs of the story. Look up and see.... He said, “We had a good day.” It was like the scene in “Annie Hall:” “I have Marshall McLuhan right here.”

Of course, it’s also possible that the system aint broke. And maybe not throwing reporters out of the White House would solve the problem.

Just now: "We want total freedom of the press...but you have to act with respect," Trump says in reaction to ruling. Adds that "we have the option of leaving," apparently meaning to walk away from press, if not treated with "respect...We always have the right to leave."

Just in: presented his ID at the White House gate and was handed an envelope containing a pass, reports. Unknown if it’s regular (or "hard") pass, the one taken away last week. He entered, thanking the Secret Service agents, and spoke to reporters in driveway.

Just in: Statement from on Acosta ruling (couple notes: the court didn’t “make clear” what she suggests; also, no vow by White House to continue fighting lawsuit):

Statement from on ruling: “Today’s decision reaffirms that no one, not even the president, is above the law. The White House surely hoped that expelling a reporter would deter forceful questioning, but the court’s ruling will have the opposite effect." 1/2
