Nothing worse than rich cunts think that this lifestyle is the only path to empathy, understanding and enlightenment.

The whispers I hear is that Dutton is genuinely competent but evil, while Scott is stupid and evil :(

I wonder which is worse...

Hello,

I'm intending to save money by traveling exclusively with one carry on 10kg bag and was wondering what is recommended for the European context (most likely mainly using hostels and friends houses). From reading this sub it seems that the Osprey Farpoint 40L is highly regarded, and to my luck, it is currently on sale.

Should I jump on this deal or is there a better bag for my situation?

I used the farpoint 40 on an island hopping trip in Greece.

I have no complaints about it overall, It did its job alright and its got some security features in case you want to leave it in the luggage compartments on the car bays on the ferries. - People don't steal things there anyway.

That said, I did subsequent trips with 28 liter bags and life is just easier. For once, running in and out of ferries - which is hectic - is much easier with a smaller bag. The ferry staff won't ask you to leave the bag in the bag hold. You might end up renting a quadbike or a scooter in the islands, driving with a 40l bag on your back (especially with someone else) is super cumbersone. Small bag? Easy.

Taking the farpoint to the beach? Bit cumbersome. So you end up getting a day bag which adds weight and bulk. A smaller bag does everything at once.

If you have to fly, nothing like putting the bag under the seat without having to worry for overhead bin room.

And of course, why carry 10Kg when I can carry 5Kg?

So I Have absolutely nothing against the farpoint - I loved mine - I have learned to travel much lighter and my life is just much easier.

thanks this is super helpful! im a complete novice when it comes to backpacking so itโ€™s hard to visualise different dimensions. how would clothing carrying capacity differ between the two sizes?

What's the consensus on him? I remember being a big fan back in the day, so I rewatched the westboro one. It was still pretty good but felt a bit exploitative in a way things didn't pre-internet. Maybe tech has bolstered empathy after all lol.

Start with a saw + pulse where the pulsewidth is modulated by an LFO - relatively small amount, like 30% width swinging between 20%/40%.

Use another LFO with a downwards saw shape and route it to the volume, perhaps the filter for a bit too. Play the melody. Add a short room reverb.

In the meantime, on your controller keyboard, push the octave up/octave down buttons; on analog synths like an SH-101, there's an octave switch which you can move from low to high. That's most likely how it was done, seeing that the downwards saw LFO is out of sync with the octave switching; an even better way is to assign these buttons to octave up/down for the oscillators directly, as the octave buttons on a controller will most likely only start doing something when you play a new note. This note is just held, instead.

In Vital, you could assign a macro as source for the pitch and then use the mod remap feature to quantize it to octaves - basically making a stairstep line instead of a plain diagonal line.

In a negative sense I'd go with Chris Stuckmann - the infantilism is bizarre.

More positively, I find Momus to be one of the most interesting/impressive online creators.

u/sparklingkrule can you flesh out your Stuckmann take? I stumbled on his reviews back in the early teens but forgot about him since.

yeah, iโ€™m in a similar boat. i discovered him on my early teens and liked him as he had the same (in hindsight not very good) taste as me. but as time progressed and i got more into film/matured i couldnโ€™t understand why this supposed โ€˜professionalโ€™ was hyper fixated on the media of an adolescent boy. his house is filled with mass produced marketing crap, and he chose to get tattoo sleeves of cartoon characters at the age of 30 (or something ridiculous like that).

thereโ€™s also a bizarre element of social confusion throughout his channel. he seems tense with his wife and unable to connect with other youtubers. he also had some humiliating blunders. iirc he uploaded a video responding to ppl hating on his batman fan script (which was horrible in itself), and he feigned the voice of some weird liam neeson โ€˜badassโ€™ character, promising to defend his family from hate. perhaps most famously, in order to review the film get out, he prefaced his video with a photo of him with black ppl, to validate his views on the film.

i assumed he was just the perfect โ€˜one dimensional manโ€™ but he revealed he was raised by strict Jehovah Witnesses (alluding to it causing some mental break or something). so whether it be through mass culture or organised religion, he resembles something off about our society lol.

Nick Cave

He went to caulfield grammar (elite private school) and bobby gillespie (a noted leftist) said they are friends despite having totally opposing political views.

Hello,

My Tascam 244 was working perfectly but has now suddenly stopped recording! I opened it up and observed that the transport was seemingly in perfect order, however, there was a wire not disconnected to anything. I assume that this lack of connection is causing the problem, but I don't know where to plug it in.

These are some images of the wire:https://imgur.com/a/PclP7M1.

It is marked: MX-J.A 5 5 0 5 1

Thanks
