Why I lead my local Twitter Developer Community:
I have a natural love for the Twitter platform and it's one of the social media platforms I use very often. I always want to keep up to date with what's happening in the Tech world and Twitter gives me a very quick way of getting an overview of what's happening out there. Being involved as one of the leads gives me the opportunity to see how the Twitter platform is developing and gives me a chance to share that information (through talks (by experts we engage) & workshops) with other developers who are also keen on seeing how Twitter develops even further.

@ulysseasSeattle Twitter Developer Community
Community Leader
I cofounded PuPPy (Puget Sound Programming Python) three years ago. I also run PyCon Startup Row for the Python Software Foundation at PyCon. Startup Row features early-stage companies at PyCon with free booth space. I love organizing developer community events. Over the past 36 months, I have served my attendees over 15k tacos and equivalents. I have two day jobs. One is Pythonic Ventures an early-stage fund focused on outstanding engineers founding companies. Second professional practice is 10two1, where I offer companies seeking to open up engineering centers in Seattle a branch office in a box.
Why I lead my local Twitter Developer Community:
Without the Twitter platform, I would have never built PuPPy so quickly from 0 to 4300 members. Twitter is also where how I found many of our notable speakers. As I found connection with the community I wanted to know, I hope that running our TwitterDev Community in Seattle will help you find your community also.

@jitahidigroupNairobi Twitter Developer Community
Community Leader
Born into poverty, I grew up in the slums of Huruma, in Nairobi Kenya. Although life in the slums was tough, I excelled in school and upon completing High School, I opted to leave Kenya and live and work as an Au Pair in Paris, France. Fate would have me eventually travel to the US where my hard work, determination and zeal for life were recognized and rewarded. In 2007, I volunteered for the Presidential election of then Senator Barack Obama and got a real life experience of how organizations are run from the grassroots up! In 2009, I enrolled at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, from where I graduated with a Business degree. I am passionate about business and entrepreneurship.
Why I lead my local Twitter Developer Community:
Twitter has become the source of news and information for our generation, we no longer have to physically rally people together, with the click of a hash tag we can converge and discuss pertinent issues! We recently had a highly contested election in Kenya, and via Twitter, I was able to follow the elections frame by frame without once turning on the television! Getting the opportunity to cement Twitter's presence in Sub Saharan Africa was an honor, because as a community organizer, having a platform that evens out the playing field while giving each citizen an opportunity to make their opinion heard is of utmost importance.

Jake is originally from Madison, Wisconsin and is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis- class of 2014- with majors in math and physics and minors in computer science, Spanish, and psychology. He has worked with three Arch Grants winning startups across the medical, marketing, and movie industries. Today he primarily works on Sprout’s social media analytics products and tools as a member of their reporting squad. Outside of development work, Jake is on a salsa dance team, writes and plays music, and enjoys biking and snowboarding.
Why I lead my local Twitter Developer Community:
I first came across the Twitter developer communities and decided to get involved through my work with Sprout Social. We work closely with Twitter and many of the other social media giants, and Twitter in particular captured my interest due to the open and searchable nature of their platform and data. With my math background I have a strong interest in data analytics and big data, and Twitter is a unique intersection of those interests with a public and social space. The developer community itself felt like a good fit for me because my original plan was to get into teaching, and this is an exciting way to connect with others and spread information and learn by both speaking and listening; it fills that drive to both teach and to remain a lifelong student by learning from others and encouraging that curiosity.

Why I lead my local Twitter Developer Community:
Why I decided to lead the Twitter community: From early on, I've been passionate about Twitter and its ability to connect people and businesses around the world. In Commun.it, we've been helping businesses communicate authentically and effectively on Twitter for years. I also love helping and mentoring the next generation of startups. Leading the Twitter Developer Community in Israel allows me to combine these two passions, and I can't wait foster the local Twitter ecosystem, encourage and connect with new startups that are building on and for Twitter, and take part in the next wave of the ecosystem's growth.
