Dr. Tubb’s new work is “Oil fields: Oil palm plantations and agrarian change in the Middle Magdalena region of Colombia.” Dr. Tubb holds a PhD in Anthropology (Carleton University), an MA (Carleton University), and a BA (Trent University, Peterborough).

More recently, he was a Fellow at the Program in Agrarian Studies at Yale University in New Haven, CT, and is a member of the Racial Equality, Cultural Difference, Environmental Conflicts, Racism in the Black Americas at the Universidad de Bogotá in Colombia.

He is member on the board of the Canadian Institute of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, edits the Anthropology and Environment Society of the American Anthropology Association, is a member of the International Development Studies Program at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton, and the English Book Review Editor of Antropologica.
