Is The USA’s Hands-Off Policy toward Terrorism Inevitable?

Elections always bring new promises. With every new politician, there are new claims that the US will become a safer nation and a place free of terrorism. The US has suffered so much in recent history and for most Americans it still lingers in the back of their minds. However, a lot of people are concerned that having a hands-off policy towards terrorism means the US is at risk of disaster once again. Is that true?

Changing Times Abroad and At Home

Let’s be honest, being radicalized is a real possibility for any individual whether they live in America and have been raised there all their life or otherwise. There is a global crisis afoot when it comes to terrorism and in truth it’s not going anywhere. There will always be threats and that puts every country at risk whether it’s a super power like America or a very small developing nation. It’s important to have a more hands-on approach to how terrorism is tackled and what must be done to kick it out for good. US politics might need to change to help deal with these issues more effectively.

There Will Always Be Threats

OK, so having a hands-off policy might not be the best move to deal with terrorism because it doesn’t mean you will escape their clutches. However, there are lots of steps which have been taken to help tackle terrorism at home and abroad in the US. Anti-terror police, forces and security measures put in place to help deal with the threats are extremely viable. There are always going to be threats in the US, as well as abroad from all sorts of factions and that is the most concerning thing of all. More must be done to help tackle these terrorist issues and in truth, a new set of elections won’t put a stop to the threats either. Terrorism is on every door whether the country is at war with another country or at peace. People see America as a target unfortunately and that’s something the government needs to control.

More Must Be Done To Tackle the Threats

In truth, we all need to do more to help stamp out terrorism at the heart of the world. It’s not just attacks from abroad that need to be thought of, there are also threats at home too and that’s very concerning. More must be done to help remove threats from abroad as well as at home as they could impact the country in a major way. Some might say there is a hands-off policy when it comes to terrorism and that will cause an attack to occur but it can happen no matter what is done. People don’t always have to be on the radar of the officials to be a risk or a danger. That is the real problem because anyone can strike at the heart of the country. More must be done to help stamp out terrorism home and abroad. US politics can help but that alone won’t solve the problem.

Uncertainty

No-one wants to feel afraid but the truth is that terrorism comes in many forms and while you might think if you steer clear of the issue, it will leave you alone, think again. Terrorism is a very real threat for billions around the world and it’s not just in the US which has to fear terrorism. Almost every country around the world has a fear and risk of being on the radar of terrorism. Elections cannot stop that fact, sometimes, hard action needs to be taken to help ease the threats but sometimes, and terrorism can’t always be unfortunately stopped.

Are Difficult Days Ahead For The USA?

US politics are high on the list of talking points for millions of Americans and indeed, the world, as changes are fast afoot. It isn’t difficult to see why the US is so talked about as everything that happens, they have a say in it. Over the last few years alone, there have been several major talking points from economy changes to new presidents and it’s interesting to see what happens next. So, what about the future? Will there really be difficult days ahead for the USA and if so, why?

A New President at the Start of a New Term

There’s no denying that new president Donald Trump is not so much of a fan-favorite for many Americans but he is there to stay for the foreseeable future. He may make snap decisions making Americans worry and in truth, most of the world is watching his every movement as it can impact economies and everything else across the globe. There could very well be difficult days ahead because of the fact there is a new president but that isn’t just down to Trump but rather all new presidents in office. Each president knows what he wants to do in their time in office and that means there is uncertainty ahead.

Economy Changes and Global Warming

With newly introduced trade tariffs it might just come back to bite the US. If countries are able to source steel and other such goods from other countries where the trade tariffs are lower, it could mean the US loses out. That could essentially mean difficult days ahead with the economy and even potentially leading to lowering currencies as well. That doesn’t reflect well on the Americans. What is more, global warming is a real crisis point and some aren’t taking seriously enough. Global warming will cause trouble across the world and very well might bring potential difficult days to the USA. US politics aren’t the only subject to bring difficulties to the Americans.

Difficult Days Are Guaranteed

Right now, the USA seems stable enough over its currency value, its economy and housing market but that doesn’t mean to say in the future, it will remain that way. Yes, new presidents come and go so while Donald Trump might be an issue for some now, he won’t be the only president to be disliked or unpopular or even bring a seemingly difficult day for the US. Every decision made by government as well as what happens abroad can impact the US in a major way and difficult days probably will be ahead. Look at the global recession; we were all in difficult days and in truth, anything can happen to spark difficulties.

The Future of the USA

No-one truly knows what the future will hold for the USA or indeed the rest of the world. Currently the economy is strong and that goes with the housing market too but you can never tell what will happen next. It is very much possible that there will be difficult days ahead for the USA depending on economy changes to other countries around the world as well as the changes in US politics.

Do you know the differences between the American congress and the Canadian parliament? Despite what you might think, Canada and America’s political systems are very different from one another. They both share a history over the fact that the two countries used to be under British rule but apart from that, it’s very different. The Americans have a president to govern them with a congress to pass laws, whereas the Canadian political system is governed with a parliament like the UK and have a prime minister.

Governments and State Heads

Canada has a constitutional monarchy government, with the Queen (or the British reigning monarch) being their head of state. Canadians also have a prime minister in which governs the country and they have elections every few years to see who is to be the head of government in Canada. However, the Americans are technically democrats. The US is classed as a democracy also known as a republic. The Americans have a president which is elected as head of state usually for a four year term. There are subtle differences between the Canadian head of state and the American head of state. It might seem very minor but they can make a huge impact on how North America is run.

How Laws Are Passed

The political systems for Canada and the US are similar although they run in very different manners. Congress in America has two different levels, the Senate and the House of Representatives. Laws or bills, in which the head of state (the President) want pass, usually have to go through congress so that the members of these houses vote to pass them. In parliament, there are also two levels of government, the Senate and House of Commons. The politicians of the House of Commons are the ones which are elected publicly. Senate members in Canada will be selected by the Prime Minister.

How the State Heads Are Elected

As heads of government, the President and Prime Minister must be elected into office, unless the former leader of the reigning government in Canada resigns. In most cases, there are national elections every four years to see which politician becomes new head of state. There isn’t any term limits in terms of being a member of the House of Commons but in the US, presidents are not able to serve more than two terms. Democrats in the US, are not the only party, there are also liberals.

Understanding Politics

While America and Canada are border countries, they are quite different from one another in terms of how they operate, trade as well as everything else. There may be similarities between one another but that doesn’t make them the same in any way. It is sometimes difficult to grasp the fact that these are two very different powers and that Canada and America are truly world powers. These are some of the most influential countries in the world today. Congress in the US might seem to be the only power but the Canadian parliament is too very powerful.
