    Rod Rosenstein. He put Barry Landau away for purloining historical-archive documents. On TV and in the press he called him a 'con-man,' 'a con-artist.' Landau never conned anyone. Rosenstein let the real thief get off with a slap on the wrist.

    Michi has evidently never read The Confidence Man: His Masquerade, or she wouldn't wish to reread it. She has however read the dimwit interview with Philip Roth (The Plot Against America) in The NYer 2 years back. Roth hadn't read it either.

    When I was little (this was the Postwar Era) there was big push to make puffy-sleeve little-girl frocks and petticoats mandatory. This ran against the normal tendency of pre-pubescent girls to be tomboys.

    This is a very good instructional video, despite an excess of quick-cutting. Relive the Kavanaugh trials. Everything Christine Blasey Ford said was a lie or an evasion. But I still don't really blame her, because she was clearly manipulated by Feinstein et al.

    It still shocks me how people can still call him a rapist even though she was inclusive about her accusation. Someone made a 3 hour analysis on how the thing was a poltical circus. I know it's three hours, but it goes into great detail.

    I found this thread absolutely side-splitting—even funnier than the original Ben Shapiro trollfest—especially when I realized that Ross Douthat is not the same person as Rod Dreher. And then giving citation advice and getting the author's name wrong.

    Both the negative responses to 's "Judeo-Christian heritage" line and their cross-ideological range is really, really interesting, even possibly worth a column.

    Honoring Christine Blasey Ford is a joke. She tried to take down a good man with her lies. This is unforgivable. We should encourage good men, not try to ruin them over our obsessive and misplaced hate for someone we don't even know personally, like

    Does it really matter at this point? 'They didn't get roused at St-Suplice, maybe they will NOW?' Your problem is you are a smarty-pants who has trouble with the 'religion' thing.

    Suspecting arson at Notre Dame doesn’t indicate who could be responsible. Some French churches were desecrated via Satanic symbols. A victim of clerical abuse could be seeking revenge. Communists also hate Christianity. We’ll see.
