Gainsville
Live at Fest 10

This video sucks. You can’t see the band. You can’t hear the band. It’s shot mostly under a black light. So why post it? The crowd sang the whole song, that’s why! Maybe I’m jaded. I was at their first show. I’ve seen them play to 20 people. I lived at the THD house, and when I moved out, Billy moved into my room. I’ve seen Paddy’s bare drunk ass more times than I care to remember. I knew these guys back in the day. I guess it’s just hard to imagine that they are this popular….on the other side of the country. I get being popular in Minneapolis…they’re from here. All I can say is Wow!

Now if you want to actually see and hear the band play that same song. Here they are on their home turf.

Dillinger Four & The Strike

Rebels Choice

Great split from my former roommate THD records.  Two great bands, lots of solid rock.  EVeryone knows D4, but shortly before (or after, I forget) this split 7" was released, THe Strike moved to Chicago and put out a couple of albums as a three piece. Speaking of hte Strike, make sure you get their early demo tape on this same blog.  Search it out.

Oh, yes the artwork will say that it was Doin’ It For the Kids Records…..I was never sure why J.P. changed the name, but never fear…..this is classic THD records.

Interview with Paddy & Eric

Here’s a great interview with Paddy & Eric. Paddy does an excellent job in this interview of describing the mid-late ’90s punk scene. There are a lot of things he says in this interview that are right on the money, and he does a good job of articulating the state of things back then.
