Second in a series of Re issues by Disfear, Live the Storm was the last LP from 2008 now re issued on vinyl by La Familia Records of Germany. This LP features Uffe from Entombed on guitar which adds death metal madness to the D beat mayhem which was already underway.
Third in the Disfear re issue series. A Brutal Sight of War captures the raw early days of Disfear. Originally released in 1993 it is a perfect reflection of the Swedish hardcore sounds of those days. Raw down tuned D beat hardcore with a heavy influence from Anti Cimex and Discharge. But with many of the Swedish bands of this era, there is a bit of influence from Swedish Death Metal, notably Entombed lurking beneath the gritty and raw surface.
DS 13, Spela Snabbare Records and Havoc Records presents the compiled works of DS 13 from their 7"s, splits and compilations. 67 tracks total in a nice gatefold sleeve just in time for the 20th anniversary of the first 7". Back in 1997 I was running a label and distro and I was trading records with this guy Pontus from Umea, who sent me a letter telling me I should check out DS 13. In those days not a lot of bands were playing fast hardcore.
