The Human Development Index, calculated this year for 189 countries, ranks countries according to their progress in key dimensions of human development – health, education and income.
1.3 billion people still live in multidimensional poverty, meaning they are not just poor in terms of income, they are also lacking in health, education, and living standards. And they risk falling behind further when faced with conflict, sickness, unemployment, or natural disaster.

20 developing country entrepreneurs will pitch products and services in sectors such as access to health and education, financial inclusion, food production, climate change, and agritech.
Moderated by WTO Deputy Director-General Alan Wolff, the panel examined the link between peace and trade, focusing on the opportunities and challenges that conflict-affected states face in developing their capacities to trade.
