The first Annual Conference of Local Assemblies that gathered more than 150 representatives of local parliaments across Serbia was organized by the Assembly of the Autonomous Province (AP) Vojvodina and the City of Novi Sad, and supported by the Swiss Government and UNDP.
UNDP is currently carrying out one pilot project in the city of Nis, South of Serbia, that focuses on using blockchain to send remittances to the recipients in the country of origin.
More than 450 women, members of local assemblies from 90 municipalities across Serbia, participated in the 6th Women’s Parliamentary Network (WPN) Conference entitled “Women Building the Future”.
Representatives of the EU, UN agencies and Serbian state institutions, visited Vranje and, among other activities, took part in the celebration of a local School Day
