Twitter card image cache

I have updated a file on our server that we use for our twitter card (ourwebsite.com/twittercard.jpg)

I am seeing it is showing the new card on the twitter card validation page but not on twitter. How long would the cache for this typically take to update? Is there another action I need to take?

I know it’s months since this was raised, but I need to be able to refresh the Twitter cache just like Facebook allows with re-scrape. Unfortunately the link provided by froginthevalley is not available any more. Any advice?
