Elizabeth Emond-Stevenson is the body behind TAKE UP SPACE. An emerging franco-ontari...enne dance artist & writer from Orléans, ON/ unceded Algonquin territories, she searches to manifest the uniqe possibilities unfolding within a spatial/energetic/ musical landscape and is fascinated by the many ways an idea can be transmitted through art. She creates, performs and collaborates through connections between people, places and art forms.
This year, Elizabeth will be working on her project, Creating Connections: Movement for Seniors. It is a bilingual outreach project that brings accessible movement workshops and performances by professional dancers into seniors’ communities in Ottawa-Gatineau.

Elizabeth Emond-Stevenson est le corps derrière TAKE UP SPACE. Danseuse et écrivaine franco-ontarienne d’Orléans/ territoire traditionnel non cédé du peuple algonquin,
elle s'intéresse à la croisée des disciplines que l’on rencontre dans la pratique de la danse. L'infinité des représentations en art que l’on peut faire d’une idée la fascine. Autrement dit,
elle crée, performe et collabore à travers les connections entre les gens, les places et les arts.
