Solidarity text to prisoners of “Lee Correctional Institution” from prisoners in Larissa (USA, Greece)

Saturday, September 1st, 2018

Above: Banner of solidarity hung by Utopia AD, Greece, with the prison labour strike of the US prisoners and with the anarchist prisoners around the world.

Solidarity text to prisoners of “Lee Correctional Institution” prison of U.S.A.

In light of what happened at the “Lee Correctional Institution” prison in the state of South Carolina, U.S.A., and with the tragic death of 7 of our detained and 17 seriously injured and with the full responsibility of the service of the prison, the director and the chief guard, as they knew they were members of rival gangs and intentionally placed them in the same wing, being proud about their cowardly result. We, the prisoners of the A’ wing based on solidarity with all South Carolina imprisoned fighters and all the prisons of America, declare our support in the general situation of this time, setting as a primary purpose the opposition to the dirty manipulations the director and the guards exercise in the prisons, having for result the death of our retained brothers. ‘Till all are free – International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners’ – Text from Comrades in Greece

Monday, August 20th, 2018

ES – Grecia – “Hasta que todes seamos libres” (texto de compañeres de Grecia para la Semana Internacional de Solidaridad con los Presos Anarquistas)

Till all are free – International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners

In 2013 the groups comprising the Anarchist Black Cross initiated the Week for Anarchist Prisoners, which takes place in the last week of August. The first day, chosen on purpose, is the anniversary of the execution of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti in 1927. It’s important to emphasize the stories of our
comrades, since many of them will not be acknowledged as political prisoners.

Various state services of surveillance requested to speak with comrades as part of ongoing investigations, using the suspects’ political orientation as the only criterion. This orientation is toward anarchism. Every investigation is based on the possibility of prosecuting comrades with the aid of an arsenal of laws aimed against a dangerous domestic enemy.

These prosecutions could involve anything, from texts until any sort of direct action, and this practice is nothing new since similar prosecutions in many
countries of the world have been witnessed in the past, especially those with a strong presence of anarchists who promote direct action and interventions. A tactic of the forces of repression is to prevent anarchist propaganda and the diffusion of our ideas and for that they won’t hesitate to puncture the veneer of “democracy” which supposedly allows the free dissemination of ideas and information. Thus, any illusions people might like to have about democracy come to an end. Things have now become clear, the anarchist action or discourse will either become illegal or mean nothing”! This new form of repression that appeared now, is enforced against many of our captives, even under the guise of international “terrorism” which actually aims to target the domestic enemy that anarchy is. On one hand our captives have been prosecuted based on their political identity and on the other by having taken the political responsibility of their actions and their organizations. The strategy of preventive repression, of persecutions leading to convictions with the maximum possible sentences, of fast-track trials and of an effort to muzzle dissent, is already being enforced against anarchist centres and self-organized efforts that support and disseminate anarchist values. Simultaneously, the latest trial hearings constitute a final rehearsal of a new doctrine the state wants to enforce. (more…)

Trial begins against the Revolutionary Struggle for Bank Robberies (Greece)

Saturday, July 21st, 2018

On Monday, 23.07.18, in the Korydallos Prisons Special Court, another trial against the Revolutionary Struggle continues involving bank robberries attributed to the organization.

According to the indictment, there was a ‘criminal organization’ from 2006-2012 whom seven bank robberies are attributed to and whose members became members of the Revolutionary Struggle from 2012-2015 and committed bank robberies for the organization.

We, as members of the Revolutionary Struggle already publicy stated our position on this issue on October 23, 2017*, and recently the comrade Nikos Maziotis published a similar statement on 06.05.18**.

Nikos Maziotis – Pola Roupa

*Nikos Maziotis and Pola Roupa – ‘The Revolutionary Struggle is a Revolutionary Organization and not an Organization for Robbing Banks’ (Text in Greek language)

**Nikos Maziotis: The New Trial on 25.05.18 Against the Revolutionary Struggle for Bank Robberies (2012-15) Does Not Concern the Actions of the Revolutionary Struggle

Pola Roupa, Imprisoned Comrade of the Revolutionary Struggle, Sentenced to Life Imprisonment + 25 Years (Greece)

Thursday, July 12th, 2018

The Court has imposed a life sentence plus 25 years on comrade Pola Roupa, adopting the positions of prosecutor Drako in his speech. The life sentence to which Comrade [Nikos] Maziotis was convicted in 2016 for the same attack is not just about rabid revenge against the two unrepentant and consistent rebels who were not delivered to jail in 2013 at the end of the first trial of the Revolutionary Struggle, but who went into illegality in order to continue the actions of the organization. It proves, according to prosecutor Drako’s speech, the dangerousness of the actions of the Revolutionary Struggle as a means of undermining and collapsing the economy and the State.

Let’s remind that prosecutor Drako in his speech had stated that the attack on the Bank of Greece could cause the collapse of the building and that if the building had collapsed, the financial system and the country’s economy would collapse.

The life sentence to Roupa, as for Maziotis, confirms from the enemy’s side, that is, the State, the correctness of the strategy of the Revolutionary Struggle, which considered that the major blows to key structures of an already weakened system in crisis, could cause its collapse.

Static / Continues – July 2018

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018

After a brief pause we resume an irregular publishing rhythm fueled by our hatred of this techno-prison world. Our last few months were busy with shaping our small project for the future. In the coming weeks we’ll be posting a new Dark Nights zine as well as some solidarity posters and other compilations of writings.

Recently we caught this podcast with an anarchist comrade in Yogyakarta talking about the Mayday riot case and the call to ‘Kill the Sultan’. 44 comrades were arrested and comrade Ucil was beaten and held incommunicado for molotov attacking police vehicles. Many comrades either have cases pending or are still wanted for the riot and are investigated. Check out this post and help out.

Imprisoned members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire released a letter in solidarity with anarchist comrade Grigoris Tsironis, a comrade who spent 9 years as a fugitive and who is persecuted by the Greek judiciary for his anarchist stance. You can find the letter about the house arrest of Tsironis in Greek at Traces of Fire.

In Spanish language you can read about the case of the comrades convicted for the events in Valpraiso, Chile and some reflections on those events in light of the Marfin Bank case in Athens, Greece.

Also, the huge 5th issue of Return Fire is out, this green anarchist zine from UK is packed full of content and available for PDF download.

‘Black and Green Arsonists’ take responsibility for Animal Liberation arsons – Green Nemesis #3 – Athens (Greece)

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018

Here we reproduce the report of the incendiary attack from ‘Black and Green Arsonists’ – their claim of responsibility for Green Nemesis Act 3. We note that the rhetoric of ‘indiscriminate attack’ can lend itself to the green authoritarianism of the Church of Eco-Extremism, and whilst the attacks don’t possess the attributes of an authoritarian action it is worth being clear. There is a big difference between indiscriminately attacking the enemies and indiscriminately attacking random individuals. The communique has several interesting points about animal/earth liberationist struggle and we are happy to reproduce it. Until all are free.

Anonymous (delayed) report:

On October 28, we made a double hit in the area of Zografou, burning a truck / refrigerator for meat transportation, with an incendiary mechanism. We also attacked a hunter’s car by breaking and burning gasoline in its interior. We also take responsibility for the Green Nemesis Act 3.

We indiscriminately attack what contributes to the incarceration, abuse and misery of animals. Whether this is a cosmetic showcase or a butcher, etc.

ANTHROPOCENTRISM

People from the very old age used the animals for their benefit. With the development of technology and its means, the exploitation of animals grew, while the value of life was undermined. Anthropocentrism is the one that leads millions of animals to death in order to become food, and not only. Workshops full of experimental animals. Also people still use animals for their own fun. 6th of December – International Day against State Terrorism – Athens (Greece)

Sunday, November 26th, 2017

6 December 2008, 15 years old Alexis Grigoropoulos is shot point blank by cops in the neighborhood of Exarchia in Athens. Alexis falls from the bullet of state murderers and a hurricane of rage rises. This was no accident; it was a targeted murder in the heart of a neighborhood that is, as much historically as in the present, a hub for the oppressed to organize themselves into the resistance movement. The message was clear, to terrorise the resistance, to assert state totalitarian control, to stifle the brewing insurrection against a decrepit system of exploitation and oppression. The story of Alexis is the story of thousands of fighters shot, tortured and disappeared by the armed guards of the state around the world.

In the hours, days and weeks that followed the murder of Alexis myriads of people, who saw in the killing of Alexis their own sufferings in this system, took to the streets around the world. The wave of solidarity broke the isolation and alienation of the oppressed and awakened once again the global vision for a world without exploitation from authority. This history, our history is not a collection of dead symbols. It is our storming ground for the ongoing struggle against the slavery of humanity by capitalist exploiters, their state aparatus and their armies. (more…)

Poster for anarchist comrade Dino Yagtzoglou (Greece)

Thursday, November 23rd, 2017

On 28/10, Konstantinos (Dinos) Yagtzoglou is arrested by armed assassins of the E.K.A.M. in Athens. He is accused of sending a parcel bomb to former technocrat prime minister Loukas Papademos, who was injured by the attack inside his car. The other charges against him are for explosive packages found at the same time as the attack and also the oppressive Article 187A, for participation in a criminal organization, alleged membership of Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, the group that claimed one of the explosive packages.

We do not care for democracy, for the media spectacle and the cop mentality that is the junta of innocence or guilt. We do not play their game of justice, where the pieces are already placed against us, neither for the state that sows terror, the self imposed fear that permeates a passive society. What we care for is the continuation of the armed struggle against the necropolis of authority.

Strength to our anarchist comrade Dinos Yagtzoglou.

Soul and Body, nothing is over, the conflict continues!

Athens: Armed attacks against Mexican and French Embassies – Communique from the ‘Organisation of Revolutionary Self-Defense’ – ‘Towards a New International Revolutionary Movement’ (Greece)

Tuesday, November 14th, 2017

From Athens IMC, Actforfreedomnow:

On Sunday 31st of August, a little before dawn, we carried out an armed intervention against the Mexican state, by shooting at the building of its embassy in Athens. On Wednesday 9th of October, at quarter to five a.m. we carried out another armed intervention against the French state, by throwing a hand grenade next to the guard of its embassy in Athens, opposite the Greek parliament. These two aggressive actions of our organization, together with our first armed intervention on the 25th of May 2014 against PASOK, defy in deed the armed domination of the Greek state and at the same time they express the vision of social revolution and of the dissolution of authoritative institutions here and now.

In order to construct a revolutionary movement on sturdy foundations, we must study the defeats of the past. We must focus on the contradictions of past movements and analyze the dynamics of class antagonism today, as a result of a historical evolution. The totalitarian capitalist aggression, which began two and a half decades ago and spreads around the globe, is connected to the fundamental crisis of the socialist movement.

The main contradiction which brought about the demise of the revolutionary wave of the 20th century is statism. Parliamentary democracy, dictatorship of political parties and, at the same time, the repression of workers’ self organization implanted bourgeois authority in the loins of social revolutions, ever since the French revolution. The revolution in Russia was led by a political and technocratic elite. (more…)

Christos Tsakalos: ”The Point is That People Should not Leave from Prison Dehumanized.” (Greece)

Tuesday, November 14th, 2017

via enoughisenough:

Originally published by TVXS. Translated by Black Cat.

Read all the Enough is Enough reports about Korydallos prison; here.

”I am speaking neither as an anarchist nor as a member of the C.C.F.Christos Tsakalos clarified as we spoke on the phone. ”I am speaking as a member of the Committee of Struggle from Korydallos Prison, which represents 1500 prisoners who have been protesting the past two weeks against the new correctional code, which will result in the violation of the basic rights of prisoners in case it passes”, he explains and highlights that there is an existing network in Greece’s prisons and the mobilizations will escalate if the government does not make concessions.

He also stated that a Ministry of Justice official who went to Korydallos Prison and discussed these matters with the committee found the demands to be fair. Nevertheless, he clarified that this was his own personal stance and not that of the Ministry. ”We will go to extremes because we understand that they are trying to create a prison within the prison” says Christos, who was detained in solitary confinement from 2015 through to 2017, on the other end of the phone line. Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis, imprisoned members of Revolutionary Struggle on hunger strike (Greece)

Monday, November 13th, 2017

November 11, 2017

THE ROTTEN SYSTEM AND THE ABSENCE OF RESISTANCE ARE THE REASONS FOR THE ROTTING OF SOCIETY

Almost 10 years after the outbreak of the crisis with the collapse of the financial system, bank bankruptcy, and seven years after the commencement of the era of the memorandum and the monitoring of the country by the troika (IMF, EC, ECB), the social base in this country has suffered the strongest blow since the Second World War.

Greek puppet governments have definitively delegated substantial economic and political governance to EU supranational organizations and indirectly to the capital markets and are imposing new measures of social euthanasia for large sections of the population in this country, they are now insignificant for their added value to capitalist wealth. That’s why it does not matter if they disappear. This condition of condemnation is also a prerequisite for the survival of the system itself, for the preservation of the political regime, for the perpetuation of capitalism. (more…)
